That may be a bit too much red. Keep what is red now, and match the siding and soffits and fascia to the existing khaki window color.

Just a note, your fascia and gutters are already red. I would take it all the way.

I think the red gives it that unique historic charm that it currently has. However, and having said that, if you switched to the khaki color it would look good as well just a bit more contemporary IMHO.

I think I would do slate blue vs. red with the khaki to stay true to the home's colors but look a little more current.

Slate blue might be fun, and then paint the greenish siding on top to match? I think the red you have, or beige would look pretty too. Your house is gorgeous!

If you can do some photoshop on a good straight on photo of your house, it may help you to visualize it better....

This is such a charming house! Colors really put me in mind of my grandparents' house growing up - their trim was actually white with a 1.5" red leading edge painted on by an amazing painting contractor who was a master at tones and palettes. I think he used something like five different colors to compliment the different greens, farmhouse red, white and grey in the scheme. On paper it absolutely sounds like too much, but it created a really pleasing, composed vision. Telling someone your house is green with red trim definitely makes you sound like a Kringle, but your current look proves there's more there than just jingle bells going on. :)

They didn't have the warm neutral (khaki) like you do - their contractor used a warm, dark graphite grey at the time - but I think you could definitely have success with making something like this work for you. My sister lives in their house now and they've never varied any of the colors. Today, it's still the smartest-looking house on the block. Cheers!

i"m voting for the trim to go from red to blue (only because my preference is to be more current than historical ;) ) and then paint the siding to the left khaki as I think if you paint it blue it will just be too much blue. Meaning..............keep the blue as the subtle accent color .....not a focal point . Then when one looks at the house, it will not appear to be a stone house with blue. Know what I mean? You want the blue to be a subconscious accent, IMHO.

Really nice home. Liking the red at the windows and for the dormer on the right side of the roof. You might also consider it for your front door color.

My personal opinion (and I'm certainly not a pro) is that adding any new color, including blue, could have unintended consequences. You could risk having your classic home begin to look ... well ... to be blunt: gaudy.

With red and khaki at each window and gray on the roof and within the stone, the home would be more likely to keep its classic look if you limited your color choices to red and/or khaki and/or gray (aside, perhaps, for the gutter and/or downspouts).

If you use gray for the fascia/trim where you hang gutter, you can buy gray gutter.

Alternately, if you use gray for the fascia/trim where the gutter is hung, you could use white gutter.

If you use red or khaki for the fascia/trim where the gutter is hung (wouldn't without buying/painting gutter/downspouts to match), and if you cannot find gutter/downspouts in those colors and don't want to paint it, you might could use brown gutter and downspouts -- but you really should bring home a brown gutter joint (that you could return) and hold it in front of where the downspouts would be affixed to see how it looks first.
