I love the color of your house! I would paint both the doors blue or terra cotta. If you paint the doors, then paint the garage door the same color as your siding to make it recede in prominence.

Go to a garden center and have someone help you design landscaping for the front. I like your birches, which add pattern and gracefulness to the front.. Set if off with a surrounding garden bed of perennials and grasses that grow well in your zone. You'll also want to fill the small bed by the porch with something dramatic (once the garbage can is gone!) Really, your color choice works well. Landscaping will give you a way to bring color to the front. Oh, consider getting great house numbers to put on the porch peak.

I think the brown that you have right now is just fine, and assuming your windows are aluminum or vinyl, you'd probably like the maintain white in the color scheme too. The most important thing here is to draw attention away from the garage door and man door to the garage and toward the front door. The garage door should be painted the same color as the body of the house, and the garage man door could be painted to match as well.

Then the porch posts and eaves should be painted your trim color. The shutters could be painted either a slightly gray blue, deep red, or a muted green depending on your preferences. I would take that same accent color and paint the gable end of the porch in it.

It's unfortunate that the birch is planted dead center on the front door, but I'd be inclined to try to work with it before cutting it down to do something different. Biggest thing that can be done with hardscaping is to upgrade to a wider entrance walk that flares out away from the house when it meets the driveway to be more visually welcoming. Consider doing it in pavers or slate/flagstone to add a little color and feeling of quality right at the entrance.

Your house is nice. It may be the angle of the photo or the light but the curb appeal issue that jumps out at me is the condition of the driveway.

If the material is concrete, I would get it pressure washed. If it is asphalt, you can spruce it up with some sealer from Home Depot.

I would consider painting your shutters black, your porch white and pick a bright color for your front door.

If you could replace your porch posts w/a cedar wrap or cedar posts, that would give a bit of warmth and texture. plus, black/brown and the cedar look great together.

I would give serious thought to creating a 2 tone color scheme and removing the shutters, and painting the frames of the windows to match the doors.

Your house is charming. The biggest issue to me (other than the lack of landscaping) is that the garage stands out and the entry fades. I would paint the garage door the same as the siding and the porch the color of the garage.

My first instinct was to go darker on the shutters, but it was wrong. I think shutters the same color as the trim would work.
