@midcenturyvibes maybe that’s it. Maybe it’s the two tone that’s throwing me off. We’ve considered white washing or dye for the brick. Just not sure what dolor. I have seen yellow and charcoal as a color set and it looks cool. Had thought initially we’d go with a white color/dye/white wash but not sold.

And the wood. So much wood. I like the accent windows and want to maybe wood chevron style patterns, yet get the house to match colors to flow.

Love the house! Keep the brick. Go with a nice charcoal stain for the wood and some color for the garage door. You can use pops of color on the front door and in updates plantings.

I love the house just as it is. I know that's not very useful. I can't see the front door well, but a new, modern front door would be a good update. Something like this:

Your house is nice! I would paint the garage a brownish color that blends with the house so it isn't so prominent. The entrance area is bland and doesn't add any curb appeal. Get a fabulous mcm door in a bright color. Remove the over grown tree by the front door and replace the concrete front steps with a larger and more graceful landing.

Can I suggest replacing the dated light fixtures and also increasing the scale of the light fixtures.

New door absolutely! I like the 3 panel glass but am unsure about color. Not afraid of color, just couldn’t decide. So thinking black or wood- but already so much wood.

The front door definitely gets lost- I do think maybe some landscaping and symmetry of dark tall planters with high green would look nice.

Lights- thinking either larger arm type lights (2) on the garage or near door. Or maybe some more modern lights?

Garage door was painted- but sounds like maybe either a lighter color to take less attention or one with the frosted glass could be nice?

This house below is nearby and I love it. Has similar colors, but about 50 years newer and more modern. Maybe I can borrow some inspiration from it - any thoughts?

I actually love all the wood. What about painting the garage a mid century sage-y/ olive color! I think painting the garage, as someone suggested above, is a great idea if you don’t change the brick! Maybe also add some big mcm colored pots with plants by the front door. Good luck!

It's the landscaping that needs to be updated. That huge beautiful tree right up against your home is in the wrong location. I hate to say it, but it should be moved IMO. Get with a landscape designer. I think all you need is good landscaping.

Oh just seeing the pics of the front now! The stone on that side is awesome! Now that I see it I wouldn’t change it. Yes definitely paint the wood and update landscaping! :)

What about painting the brick with a light grey if your wanting to modernize it
