This mandarin I got from logees’ online catalog about 2 years ago. It came in a tiny little container while it was not much smaller than it is now. The roots were extremely balled up but still healthy. It didn’t grow at all for a year. But on the second year had flowers I cut off then a flush of new growth. What you see here is the basic shape that it was when I got it with the exception of a little more branching. The shape is really strange but I don’t care what it looks like just want to make sure the branches will be strong to prevent breaking if I do ever allow it to fruit in the future. It’s possible it didn’t grow the first year because I had no idea what I was doing. I can say this tree has been amazing to care for and has extremely healthy roots. It is evening so the picture quality might not be great.
