How big of a tree do you want and what is the soil like?

25-30ft. Soil is okay, not great. Once you are down about a foot/foot & half it turns into your typical rocky Alabama red clay. I have several species of flowering plants in my front flower bed, but they do not require planting as deep as the tree would. I of course have two thriving Crepe Myrtles on the sides on the house. But nothing in my actual yard.

30 ft. or less is more on the order of small than medium - there are trees in existence over 300 ft. tall.

What specific features would you like, other than seeming novelty?

I am just looking for some names of trees to look at and read about. That is all, any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
