Help! Barstool advice/direction

We need barstools that 1) swivel, 2) have a back (at least partially), 3) aren't fabric (are able to be cleaned easily/wiped down when the kids drop breakfast on them while eating) 4) match the room (colors are wood floor, navy cabinets, marble counters are gray/white, fixtures are all champagne bronze/satin gold). Bonus if they adjust for little ones. Ideas, suggestions?

I've looked at the adjustable ones (most have a round base) but most of them are a shiny silver. Do you perceive that as a problem or am I over-thinking it? Also for the chair color, gray? white? black? blue?

Yep, I'm a bit lost, so any advice is *greatly* appreciated!

I am not sure why you want swivel but I would advise to not get swivel for little ones, they are not as safe.

Consider wood saddle style bar stools. They're sturdy and stable.

The scoop seat will help the little ones be better able to stay on the bar stools.

You could get different widths and heights in matching wood. You could cut height off the legs or add glides for an extra inch or so of height, including some adjustable ones, if needed.

You could even swivel for parents and fixed for children.

mandeelea, I guess it look more like I did the stealing since you are a lot further along than I am. Your kitchen looks great!

I am considering these stools for my island.

How big is your island? I'm trying to decide between 2 or 3 pendants over mine. Mine is about 9ft. Also, I can't help but notice those 3 glass pendants in the far right of your picture. Are they from West Elm? They look almost like the ones I got for my island.

Our house was a flip, and from what I can tell they got most of the fixtures through Wayfair (?). I'm guessing that our island is also 9' (and we love every inch of it). I like those stools you posted. I'm having a hard time balancing the 1910 house with too modern looking (or industrial) styles. Perhaps I just need to embrace it though!

My kids broke 2 sets of swivel bar stools so I would suggest stationary ones if they are mainly used by the kids.

Which bar stools did you go with? I remembered we have similar kitchens.

We've moved in and I still haven't decided on any. I'm reconsidering my earlier plan and now can't make a decision.

justwantapool, in the end, I've procrastinated. I actually couldn't decide between comfy and durable. I wish that I could say more, but in the end procrastination has won for now!
