ken..fox..usually looks fluffy and prettier but it's raining and the fur's wet..I've seen it run thru but until today I've never seen it by the house or on the table..

I want one! (Assuming its a fox). Where do I get one? We actually have them in the area, but I think our dogs keep them away from the house.

We put out tons of dry roasted unsalted peanuts in feeders for the birds and squirrels. Sometimes opossums and raccoons visit our yard after dark and dig up the entire area. No fox but our yard is busy with various creatures vying for the food.

miles..same here..the animals LOVE peanuts..we've seen raccoons on the table at night..now we leave the table empty in the evening..I've seen just one opossum since living here..

It is definitely a FOX. And hey, protein is protein. Lots of predators eat plant stuff, too. On a recent trip down to Baltimore, I saw a red fox, too. Unfortunately, it was fresh road kill, but still quite intact. Must have died from internal injuries, poor thing.

it's always sad to see animals that were killed by cars..we've had foxes coming by ever since we've lived here..but lately it's coming by frequently..

I love the foxes, have had them here for many years. I encourage them by throwing out meat scraps. I think they keep the rabbit population in check, which is good for my hostas. I don't think I'll try the peanuts which will encourage squirrels and in turn not be good for my hostas or bird feeders.

we're trying to slow down on the peanuts..but they're so tidy (every bit is eaten)..the squirrels are funny and the birds are beautiful so we keep doing it..you know we saw that fox on the table 3 times today..finally got a pic the 3rd time..we don't have bird feeders..just the table..
