yay!..no worries about "did my hostas survive?"..these are definitely alive!

Saija what a wonderful sight, I am so happy for you! I have some too but my camera is having issues.

Miles: My hostas are waking earlier than last year. It was end of May last year when I saw first pips. This chart is where I found what my Finnish zone might be in USDA. But I don't know how correct it is? We are getting warmer weather in few days, maybe even 17 celsius and nights get warmer. So other hostas might also wake up soon.

Nicholsworth: yay ...I'm happy. Just few are awake and most are under ground. Weather is looking good next ten days, no frost or snow. So I can welcome rest of my hostas.

Peren.all: I'm glad that you also have pips, spring is coming :)

On my walk I saw coltsfoots. Tulips and daffodils are not yet in flower.

Are those dandelions too? Somehow nothing ever kills them!

These are coltsfoots. Dandelions are still sleeping. We don't yet have anything green, no leafs in trees, no grass. Spring is just starting.

Because they are too high/heaved? I've got some too high, some too low....Crikey!
