    I've never had deer eat it in Austin, TX. Foxtail fern prefers a shady spot in the garden but will surprisingly take a far amount of sun. It's not necessary drought tolerant, but will make by with low to medium water.

    Will die back to the root at 25 degrees or less. They will come back first of spring
