It was last year I posted that my Wildfire didn't survive after I planted it. I think it grew a couple of leaves then went kaput. Looked a 100% dead all summer, Fall, Winter, and now it has buds and two flowers opened! What the heck? Why would it put on two leaves, then appear to die? I understand how the root system sometimes needs to get stronger, but this is crazy.

The flowers are barely open and below's a pic from this morning.

Two questions. After looking at other pictures of Wildfire, I noticed the reddish veins looks different on many of them. Some are very prominent, some aren't. Now my flower isn't open all the way, but will the veins become stronger in color?

When do I fertilize this and the other Clem's? I know what to use, but I don't know if I should fertilize yet.
