Alot of my variegated varieties turn "red" or pink if you will in the process of turning green from white. I would say its totally normal. Also pretty to look at!

Normal for crown variegated plants. Usually the higher the light the more interesting gets the crown.

Wasn't aware it was a crown variegated plant -- now that's another story.

Also was wondering about this - Too soon to start grooming for symmetry? I'm having a hard time picking out the triangles on the right-hand plant, but instinct tells me 12:00, 5:00 and 10:00 gotta go. Is that what you see?

All the smaller leaves underneath can go. Immature and leaves should never be smaller than the one on top. Another thing youll notice the petioles on the ones to go are white or clear.

If it was mine, I would remove only the one white immature leaf underneath. The plant needs the dark green leaves, they have the chlorophyll, which nourishes the plant. Joanne

I agree with Joanne - don't be too eager to pull off leaves from such young variegated plants in the interest of symmetry. You have to keep that balance of dark green and light leaves for health. Take off the little white leaf on the bottom row and continue to give the plant good care. You are off to a good start. Time to groom for shape later down the road.

If you have baby leaves in the middle of the crown - you want to remove them ASAP, Bottom row immature leaves - probably next time you repot. They are not on the way and they are producing. Your next row - will be immature leaves too - the next row will grow bigger. If you plan to grow it for show - repot often, actually mold pot them in a next size as soon as the leaf span permits - and at that time you can remove the wasted leaves and lower the plant down.

Baby leaves in the middle of the crown? I must be misunderstanding. Isn't the center of the crown the growing point? Aren't all leaves tiny at first in the center? Can you point us to a video?
