OT Abandoned robins eggs

I posted in the wildlife gardening forum, but there isn’t a lot of activity over there, so maybe someone here can advise.

I had a robin build a lovely nest on the ledge under my front door transom window, and lay several eggs. Then they disappeared, and I haven’t seen the birds in days. Yesterday I found the remains of an egg shell on the front steps, but there are still at least two eggs in the nest that I can see. ( I looked through the transom from inside, always being sure that the parents weren’t there to be spooked by my face in the window).

How long should I leave it there? I assume the eggs will start to rot before long. Or some predator will take them? Maybe they’re not fertile and the parent threw one out?
