The fuzz is fuzzier, but my gametophytes haven't grown into a juvenile fern. Sometimes sex is complicated, especially when somebody keeps watching you.

This is going to take a long time. After the male and female parts get together in this stage then I'm supposed to wait for juveniles to get big enough to be potted...individually...until they eventually get large enough for the garden. Hmmm....

Wow, I guess I never thought much about how ferns actually started out from spores.

My boys and girls finally got married. Talk about a long courtship! Just now getting maidenhair fronds. Can you see a few on the right? No wonder Mother Nature decided seeds were an improvement!
