Empty wall decor

Have an empty wall by my dinning table. I’d like to get any suggestions on what to place there.

The chandelier is quite large for the room, but you may be able to hang two pieces of art on the far wall and one piece on the left wall. Art is generally hung at eye level or with the center about 5' off the floor. The room can benefit by the addition of color in art and an area rug which measures at least four feet longer and four feet wider than the measurements of the table. Remove the floral item in the corner and replace the table runner with one in a color referencing the art or the area rug.

I would remove the faux plant in the corner and the runner down the table. I would get a console/buffet type piece of furniture in a mirror finish and hang art over it. Then I would take away 2 chairs from the table and put a chair on either side of the buffet. (Those chairs are too crowded in around that table).

I had the same thought as cpaul...do you have enough room for a console?

p.s. I like the grandness of your chandelier...very pretty.

Artwork is always a plus for empty walls.

Here are a few ideas for art. Removed the chandelier in one just so you could see the photo better...not at all implying that the chandelier should be removed...

This room would look great with wallpaper. Tone-on-tone silver over and grey in a transitional pattern would probably suit your taste, or this: murals are great for walls hard to decorate (chandelier creates a problem)

or a large standing mirror angled to reflect the chandelier. Do move 2 chairs and toss the fake plant

It's hard to tell from your picture but you might just try the table turned in the other direction. Still centered under the chandelier.

A tall piece on one wall sparsely decorated and a buffet with art on the other wall.

Your chandelier, though lovely seems too large and not complementary with your other selections. Here are my suggestions for your room. Some type of linear chandelier, graphics on the wall and a tall plant in the corner.

Can you move the chandelier to a foyer? A buffet is needed in addition to artwork.

Artwork or a mirror over a buffet would look great here. Something like this:

Maybe one of these original artworks would add some texture and contrast to your wall.

Is it possible to turn the table the other direction, leaving space on the left side for a large piece of furniture like a china or buffet? I would avoid hanging art on walls that have switches or thermostats, etc.
