Not the greatest seam in the world, especially towards the back. Personally it would drive me crazy.

My fabricator tries to seam tops so they aren't as noticeable and will invite the homeowner to look at a layout before they cut, so they can approve the look. However, this may have been the best way for them to cut it without using a second slab. Take a picture from farther back so we can get the overall look.

We offer a process we call "Digital Slab Layout". We take a high resolution picture of the stone and let the custom pick what their seam will look like.

If she approved it, it's her countertop. I think that when you pick that active of a pattern, you've got to understand that the seams won't be invisible. In fact, I don't think I'd pick that pattern if I had a kitchen that needed a seam. Great for galleys, though.

oh no, she lovessss it! It is not my favorite stone at all, but people love cambria and their colors so I wanted to show it.

Ugh is that really the best? I am going with https://www.cambriausa.com/Designs/design-palette/Berwyn/ which has similar movement to the Praa sands and am *freaking out* now.

That is exactly the type of seam to be expected in quartz with a lot of movement. Thanks Catt for showcasing what it will look like. You can tell people that the movement in the slab won't match up, but a picture is truly worth a thousand words.

The front of the photo looks okay but the black line towards the back? Is there an up close/in-focus version of that?

This is as good as a material with movement gets. Get over it please. They are fabricators, not magicians. Get solid surface if you want highly inconspicuous seams, please.
