Hmmm. Do I understand correctly that you want to take a 60" rod, cut it to 42" for one side of your shower, and then take the remaining length of rod and install it for the other end of your shower which is 36"? The math doesn't work out on that one.

60-42=18, not 36.

Maybe it would help if you provide more detail and possibly some pictures.

My shower measurement is 42X 36, I would have to cut the 28 inches rod to 10 inches to be added to the 32 inches in 90 degree angle rod to make it to 42 ( 32 +10=42 ) . on the other end , I need to extend to make it 36 from 32 by adding 4 inches (32+4=36). Do I need a connector for the other end ?

You want to create a rod with a 90°angle.

You use 42" of your rod for the long side of your shower.

That leaves you with 18" remaining. 18" is not enough to cover the 36" side of your shower.

Now. Where are these numbers coming from? "I would have to cut the 28 inches rod to 10 inches to be added to the 32 inches" Do you have a second 28" rod that you can cut up?
