Countertop support

So I opened up my kitchen wall and wanted to have a bar top overhang countertop with quart... it’s coming out 12 Inches... I purchased a cement gray from Dakota quartz in Miami fl... first has any one heard of them and second do I need a support bracket for a 2cm quar coming out 12 inches... please advise .. thank you my fellow pros

Yes, you need support for 2 cm. Not 3cm.

I'd screw 1" aluminum square tube to the sides of the cabinets and run them through a dado in the wall plate 10" past or so. Polish the exposed ends with a palm sander and buy the plugs for the tube ends.

There are many types of support systems for a pony wall. I painted mine to match the color of the underside of my granite.
