please help me with my kitchen

Moving into a townhouse. I can’t change anything around ( plumbing etc)
Trying to figure out what to do with the kitchen.
I can do an all white kitchen - perimeter and the island. Or white perimeter and dark grey island. Counter is Carrara white quartz (white & grey veins). As of now the tile for the floor is Grigio ( porcelain ). Appliances ate stainless steel.
Also, what color paint to paint the walls of the kitchen?

You don’t want the floors and the cabinets to basically be the same color, so if it were me I’d do white cabinets. It will also make it seem larger and more airy, I know sometimes townhouses can look closed in just because of their general layouts. Beautiful choices! Maybe a light gray for the walls? Or would you want a color?

Even if it's only the island cabinets?

Will white to too sterile looking?

I was thinking grey walls I'm just not sure how light to go. Or I can change the floor color to something else as it hasn't been put in yet

I personally like the grey island. I like your selection of counter top. I think it will tie everything together.

Again I like your choices here! I’ll attach a pic of our kitchen colours. We are doing a grey island too. The white looks grey in this picture but it’s called cloud white and the grey is iron mountain.

That’s what I’m thinking of switching my flooring too. Because the grey floor might be too dark? I’m really not sure anymore.

Our main floor is open concept so hardwood throughout. This is the great room, showing on right is dining and beyond that is kitchen.

Go with white because it is brighter and contrast with floor. The grey trend is declining. Repainting walls is easier than cabinets so paint walls grey if you want that color trend.

You don’t have much natural light in that kitchen so I would really avoid dark colours, like that dark gray cabinet. That dark colour will “absorb” light. Even those floors are quite dark (are they for entire main floor space?). I definitely would not do both dark floors and dark island for that space.

For the same reasons I would recommend something lighter and brighter for your walls - something with a high LRV that will help bounce light rather than suck it up and leave things looking smaller, darker, and more closed off. I’d consider a neutral or cooler white (since you seem to prefer cooler tones by your choices so far).

Barbseagle choose colours that you like because you like them not because they are a trend. We have always loved dark grey and blues. So we went with it for our space regardless of changing trends. Our wall cooler is a grey too. Benjamin Moore stonington grey
