Entry hall needs a luxurious makeover

The hall is 5 feet wide and I'd like to make it more welcoming and a bit luxurious as well. The space feels very narrow and is kind of depressing to be honest. I'd like to replace the floors, (currently it's some kind of cheap time) but I'm not sure what kind of floor will give that "grand entrance" effect.

The hall is 20 feet long and the ceiling is 8 feet tall. I'm open to any creative ideas suggestions. Thank you so much.

It looks like you'd need your new entryway to be dog-friendly. If that's the case, concentrate on things the dog can't reach, like a new chandelier and some large new artwork on the walls. The new tile can be tough, dog-resistant marble-look porcelain if marble says luxury to you.

Frontgate has some fancy dog gates.

I think a tile pattern in the hallway would be nice and, even if you don't invest in luxury flooring materials, you can also achieve a degree of refinement with the intricacy, uniqueness, or creativity in the tile pattern.

Thank you so much! Some answers to some questions: Budget around 3-5k (or more if needed), the cage is for the pup, and the sidelight window has a little privacy shade. As you can tell from the pictures, I'm really into classic European styles (hence the gold framed art in one picture). One foyer that inspires me is this one: [https://www.houzz.com/photos/calacatta-traditional-entry-new-york-phvw-vp~473673[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/calacatta-traditional-entry-new-york-phvw-vp~473673) , and [https://www.houzz.com/photos/hampstead-garden-suburb-house-traditional-staircase-london-phvw-vp~62027417[(https://www.houzz.com/photos/hampstead-garden-suburb-house-traditional-staircase-london-phvw-vp~62027417) which is much more spacious than the tiny hall, but it kind of illustrates my general style/theme. In a tight space like this, I'm not sure how I would pull it all together without making it look cluttered. Once again, thank you for the help.

Nice inspiration pic. If you replace the tile, paint the stair rail spindles and hand rails black, get a large mirror with a narrow console under, replace the entry light and put some flowers on the table in a crystal vase you would be over budget but close to part of inspiration pic. If you wanted to stay in budget, do all of the above except the tile floor and get a beautiful entry rug instead.
