I have tons of baby peaches on my tree. Sadly, I am reasonably sure the squirrels will get every single one of them before I ever do. I find the squirrels are much more of a problem than birds. But sure, give the netting a try. Keep us posted!

Congratulations! I used to have 2 apple trees in my yard that were prolific producers. Never had to do anything special on years when a freeze didn't get them. We also have neighbors with peach and plum trees. Also they get tons of fruit (again when a freeze doesn't get them) without doing anything special. But maybe it depends on how mature the trees are. All these are mature trees so there is plenty of fruit to go around.
