there is no pic, but based on your description, yes, they're outdated. Cathedral doors are really dated. painting thermofoil is a whole other process and really isn't the best option. Plus, getting a pro paint job for kitchen cabs runs in the 5K and up range (unless you have a very small kitchen). If you like the layout and the boxes are in good shape, you could get everything refaced. call in a local cabinet maker for that quote. do not use HD or Lowes. they charge far too much.
