With the needles/ thorns it sounds more like the wild blackberry to me. Would wait for a qualified answer though. Mine is not....

But I don't know what a Rubus is, so do you mean "Yep" it's poison ivy or "yep" it's a blackberry, and if the latter is it invasive and more of a weed or does it produce edible berries I might want to put on my oatmeal in the morning?

Rubus is the genus name of blackberries, also raspberries etc. There's no way of telling which Rubus it is. There are dozens and they also hybridise. The only way to tell if it's any good is to await the berries.
