Hi all, We are building a home and plan to break ground before July. We now realize our entryway design is not in line with the rest of the house, which is contemporary. The problem is we do not have room for a mudroom/alternate entryway hub, so our entryway has heavy cabinetry to accommodate the comings and goings of a family of 5 with backpacks, coats, and misc gear.

I've seen designs with an open and lighter contemporary feel, (vs heavy the heavy cabinetry look) but those will look cluttered the moment we move in and I'd like the entryway to feel more serene.

I'll include pics of the entryway and images from the cabinet maker. I'd appreciate any ideas for a contemporary entryway hub. Thank you!
