Dwarf cavendish tips are burning?

I've had this dwarf cavendish for a couple months. It is putting out a new leaf every 2-3 weeks but all of the tips are black and not unfolding right. I'm in zone 8/9 and it's on a south-facing balcony with lots of humidity from the Gulf. Attached are pictures of the newest leaves. I water pretty regularly when the soil is . Is this normal?
