Here is BC Canada. We bought and planted this Plum Tree (tagged as Japanese Beauty) early last year along with another one for pollination. It's been growing fast with lots of new branches. I did some thinning this early spring, and even cut short the central leader. Now very happy to see it started to bear some fruits. The tree keeps growing and bring up lots of small branches with dense leaves. See the photo.

Should I do pruning and thinning at this time for best result with fruits? Any advice appreciated.
