I put my moonshine in the next size pot today. It had an infestation of some kind of sucking creature. I originally thought mealy but they were white and flat, they appear to be dead now but have left marks on the leaves.

are my first line of defense. Keep an warry eye on that Moonshine, as they might be back.

I see you have an Opuntia- did you know that there is a variety that is hardy in our area? I'm currently attempting to establish a patch in my yard.

Sans 2014, I used Bayer 3-in-1 on it and also used Bonide systemic houseplant insect control. I will keep up with it, I have two others with the same problem. I do have some opuntia in my yard, one with spines, one without. The opuntia on my porch is variegated and didn't think it would be okay outside during winter.

Stush, I'm pretty sure you have me beat. I've been trying to behave myself and not buy anything, hopefully I'll be strong. I love your opuntia patch, I have some opuntia outside too but they were only purchased within the last two years, no flowers yet.

Looking good! Mine had a tough winter and I need to refresh some of them. It hasnt really warmed up yet but the rest of the garden looks fantastic with this frequent rain we have been having in NJ!!

You also have a beautiful Rhipsalis Policarpa. Where do you hang it in the winter?

Thank you Manuel. The Rhipsalis pilocarpa has always hung in our bay window, first downstairs then upstairs. It is a south window that is blocked by a tree so it gets east light and some west.

Thirty years ago we removed the ceiling in the bedroom where the bay window is. Last Fall we hung chain up in that area so I could put hanging plants there.
