So which sink did you decide on? I have the same question!

This is not any of the brands that you mentioned but it has a bottom flat grid, and a ledge system with integrated strainer and cutting board, I use it all the time and are very happy with it, I like the flexibility

Anthony - is this a Ruvati? I saw something similar on Amazon.

I considered the Ruvati but it’s says “Ruvati USA” but it’s made in China of recycled materials....so makes me hesitant. The accessories get terrible reviews too, so when I was about to purchase it on line, I canceled - leaning toward Franke or the more affordable Kraus....trying to decide.

The Franke Kubus, made in Switzerland. Was about $600 more than I wanted to spend, and with no accessories. So that’s too bad. But I felt like it was the best choice. Goes in next week, when the counters come in! Finally!!

PM I am not sure where the Ruvati is made, or the material, but I have one myself for over 3 years and is holding up very well, the sink needs proper cleaning, as for the accessories, I use mineral oil about twice a year to coat the cutting board and the wood components of the strainer

I ended up buying the pescara for the design. I haven't installed it yet. I still have to get the accessories for it. It looks nice and it is made in Switzerland.

Does anyone have an opinion about whether an 18-guage Franke is better than a 16-guage Kraus? I really like the ledge systems and have had good experience with other (non-ledge) Franke sinks. However, the Kraus caught my eye because of it being 16-gauge.

Unless knocking with a fist on a sink bottom, most can't tell the difference between 16 and 18 gauge .

I've been debating between the Franke Pescara or Planar 8. My brother has the Pescara and the rack that sits in the middle of the sink falls when heavier items are placed on it. I've heard this same defect from an associate at a reseller. So I'm going with the Planar 8. I really like the Peak, but the largest SS for a single bowl is 28 inch which is a bummer as I want a 31-32 inch sink.

Any undermount sink can be made into a ledge sink as long as the flange is fat enough to allow a 1/4"-1/2" positive reveal.

The flange on this Elkay Quartz Luxe is 1 1/8". The rear reveal is 3/8", turning the sink into a "ledge". Whether or not the sink is an apron front is irrelevant.

I have a Franke Kubus (7 years) - No problems. 18G works - radius is 20mm.

Right now we are building a second home - more modern so looking at a tighter radius (do not like zero radius). Peak and Planar fit the bill but Peak is too expensive for what it provides really.

I actually came in to find some good kitchen faucets - and thought I will give my two cents here.

Any ideas on a pull down spray type faucet. I like the ones I'm seeing in this thread - what are they please?

We absolutely love our Kubus but it’s a bit small 28” wish it had be a touch bigger. Still need to get the rack - anyone have any leads in where to get the best price, rack made for the Kubus?
PS I have the Krause at my condo but it’s a bit too deep; the sheen on the Franke is much nicer! Really it’s are fine but glad we paid extra for the Franke. It was a good choice - but now I guess I bit the billet and buy the $100 rack....by the way the Krause comes with the bottom rack - it’s a pain to clean!! Glad the Kubus rack is higher up. I think it will come in handy.

A question for those who have the Pescara - is there any problem fitting a standard faucet between the backsplash and the back edge of the sink? Or, are people primarily installing this sink in an island? Our sink will live under a window, probably with a 3/4" depth backsplash, and ideally we would have 4" available at the front for our granite. So, it seems tight.

I love the Kubus but we will be putting a second sink for dish-drying to the right of the main sink and the Kubus combo doesn't quite work.

Have your sink strapped, not clipped, in place. Clips take up too much room in the front rail which can be as small as 2 3/8" when strapped. Pulling the sink forward not only looks better, provides more faucet room, but it's more functional too:
