It was so wet for so long I think mosquitoes were breeding in the shallow pools on the driveway and pool deck. The sun has finally dried up the concrete areas and we have fewer mosquitoes now near the house. I drop those BT donuts in the deep "ponds" that develop around the yard as well as in the rain barrels. Helps a litttle. As far as rain lillies - I was looking for them and I think maybe the lubbers got all of mine!

I had to dump all my containers because the lizards kept falling into them. I'd go out every morning and have to pull a few lizards out of the buckets, poor babies. Someone said to put a bunch of sticks into the water at an angle so they can climb out, so I might try that, but I wonder if the BT pellets would hurt the lizards.

Water buckets alway get a stick, learned that from my dad. He always collected rain water off the eves of the back of the house and every bucket got a stick to let the lizards and bugs crawl out.

My ditches are still full of standing water...have not seen the hoards of baby frogs i saw last year tho.
