I'm using 40" upper cabinets as I feel they look better. I'm an older gal living alone and the thought of climbing up a step stool is a scary proposition. Getting down is worse as you would be using one hand to hold the item. Using all drawers on the bottom, but can't do that on the upper shelves. Have a tiny NYC galley kitchen so no pantry option. Just wondering how many of you have empty upper shelves. Such a waste in a small space.
