Not knowing what style your house is, but feeling like the wood on this bed canopy is pretty rustic. If you can't find something to match that color of wood, then I would go to a darker color pulling more from the headboard color. But I would probably pair this bed with standard drawered nightstands (as opposed to a metal side table) to give that bed some grounding because it creates so much negative space with the open canopy.

Thanks for the input! Moving into a new home and this canopy bed (calif king) is the first piece of furniture purchased for the master bedroom so don't have a specific style/decor currently... it's a blank canvas. The bedroom is fairly large at roughly 20' x 16' so we are definitely going for furniture on the larger size. I do like the idea of Mirrored drawers though.

Monica, mirror anything will not work with this bed. The mirrored cabinets are glam. Your bed is not and in this particular case they cannot be mixed. I have no clue as to why Glamour Home would be recommending mirrored cabinets (eye roll)

You can mix this bed with painted cabinets.
