You might want to consider a white or black/white framed mirror. Something a bit more simple in style.

It’s more goldish than silver in person. I brought a couple others home that I didn’t like either. I have a black iron bed and everything is stark right now so I thought I’d try to dress things up a bit lol. I’ll reconsider.

I think I would go with more traditional lamps, as well as a simpler mirror. What is your style in this room, overall? Looks country from the dresser style.

I don't have a style yet lol. It's a new place with white walls (for now) and my simple black iron bed. This is an IKEA dresser that I've always liked but I am not necessarily set on country decor. Any suggestions would be welcomed!

You only asked about the mirror orientation, but you might want to look at lots of photos of rooms to see what appeals to you, and put them in an ideabook or save them on your device. It would help you narrow down your “likes” and give you some direction. Everyone here is going to have an opinion of what could look good, but it may not be what YOU like, and you’re going to get 10 different style directions. Just sayin’.

Placing the mirror vertically on or over the dresser, will fill in the empty wall space above the mirror. I actually think the gold leaf mirror is a great compliment to the look of the dresser, i would keep it.

I like the rustic mirror and both lamps. They go great with the white dresser.
