Agree the wallpaper pattern is too big for the small space on the right, it looks like you will barely get a full repeat on there.

The room looks too small & narrow for the dark charcoal IMO, I would be afraid that it might end up looking like a black hole.

It's a great wallpaper and agree that carrying it onto that other wall would be best. You can still hang art on it.

I like the color for the cabinets you picture; not sure being darker will make much difference in the perceived size of the room, as they are already pretty dark. But I do like the white trim shown with the wallpaper. Have you thought about that option? Or even the color of the pillow in that shot? Then I'd paint the chairs a fun complementary color, like blue.

You could paint the cabinets your preferred dark color and if you don't care for it, you could then do white. It's a bit of work, but you'll end up with something you love.

Artwork or a small board to hang notes on would work well above the empty space.
