My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Caesarstone slab

Is there a join in the island slab or do they make the slabs longer in the US than Australia? They're only 10ft long here.

    +1. We are trying to design a 3.5m (11.4ft) long bench and are struggling to find a decent surface to use.

      @Cassie Green @Mark Bailey there is a joint in the slab, right at the centre of the sink. They generally do max out at 120" (10ft) in length.

      Mark, my bench is also 3.5m. I dislike corian so wanted to find a way to use stone. I ended up engaging a kitchen designer in QLD (I am in WA) after seeing his kitchen on houzz.
      I have a stone 'box' at one end in an alternating colour - even the drawer fronts are stone so I don't loose any storage, but it's still in stone. It's quite a feature.

      My kitchen is at least a year away, we only just poured the ground floor slab... so no photos available for a while.
