And you can't trust it anyway since home soil test kits are notoriously inaccurate. Nitrogen is a highly mobile element and even many professional labs do not test for it as the level changes too rapidly to be accurately measured.

Do yourself a favor, if you need a soil test, have it done by a professional soil testing lab. The results will be highly accurate and even better, they will tell you what to amend with and how much to get the proper nutrient levels for the plants you are growing. It is more than worth the investment.

Don't think I need it just thought it would be neat to do but if they are not reliable then I'm not going to worry about it.
