My Little Treasure is several years old and has always done well. It's always been one of my garden favorites. For some reason, this year it sent up only 1 eye and I'd love to know why. Any ideas?

There was someone who posted here a while back looking for a good hosta for an "edger". This would be a perfect example for them!

P.s. Anemone sylvestris is pretty but it can be a real thug. A pretty thug if there is such a thing. Haha.

rouge, those are nice big plants and they look so good together with the anemone!

Mine had a bad year 2017 in the garden, the slugs and snails loved it and so I put it back in a pot. It is still recovering...

Until this planting of LT we would always edge with annuals. But I got tired of doing that yearly and so for the longest time I was looking for just the right perennual that would 'work'.

Not at all...purely the # I needed to complete the edging with even spacing.

I am curious as to the mature size of this variety.

It’s in the miniature group, about 8” tall spread to about 12”.

I came back for a second look and this time I saw kitty. But I also saw that tree in the first photo. Is that a lilac in standard form? It's beautiful.

And I'm totally with you on the idea of not planting a big edge of annuals anymore. I used to plant impatiens in between my hostas. It's a lot of work.

But if you were closer I would gift it to you as I am not so enamoured to this Korean Lilac tree standard. Mostly it is my fault as it is now too large for this particular perennial bed.

Here it is as of yesterday. (It is cock-eyed...I see I 'over'staked it earlier this spring).

Cock-eyed or not, that is one beautiful tree!
