So neat! It's huge! This one looks loaded with flowers. Have you ever had fruit on your tree Stan? I had a manila mango in 9b San Diego county, but a frost killed it (it was a young tree).

These are mine- cross fingers they keep growing. The smaller one in the foreground is a Champagne I grew from seed. The Fremont one is in a real sweet spot..elevated on a hill and getting full sun all day..well,unless that Liquidamber starts to shade it.

You do have fruit! So exciting! My fingers are crossed for you that the fruit hold on. What a sweet reward!

Last year Tiffany,it gave full sized market like fruit..after two previous years of half size but sweet fruit. Its been in ground 5 years from a 12" or so stick of a plant. In pots they are much more likely to be frozen. Its a tough call since many you buy haven't really filled the pot with roots. I used to tell people grow it for the first year after you buy in it's pot to knit the rootball together.

Its tricky..and get trickier the farther north you go.

The one reward is ..they are sweet off the tree. Unlike Papaya and some Guava's or Lychee where people grow and find they arent sweet like in the tropics. Mango is worth it.

Also Tiffany,this is the first year its done staggered flowering. You can see a panicle in flower in the background. Never done this before in the now six years in ground.

So you will have an extended season of deliciousness!
