Light floors make me want to do dark furniture but that's just me. I think that couch is fine. Other than its color may blend in too well with the walls.

I can't see enough of that space to see how that sectional is going to be configured in that room. But what I can tell you is it's going to take a large area rug to cover up most of that flooring because it doesn't look like that couch is going to go with that flooring. But to answer your question .... how you style a sectional is with pillows and a throw. I can't really say anything more specific without knowing the style of the home and the color palette.

Yes, do get a very large rug first, one with some color and a pattern since your couch is solid, and then you can pull colors from the rug for pillows and possibly a throw.

Ingrid has it right, I think, but you would still have a problem finding a rug that would work with both the couch and the flooring. As you say the room will look "a bit like this" I presume that's not the actual room. Will your room have the same wall and floor colours?

We are not mind readers, you give us no info as to style, what the actual space looks like , what colors you like .So what you will get is a 100 ideas all over the map and IMO not helpful .

I don't think you want the couch with that floor and those walls . . .
