No way! Google tulip table and chairs. You’ll see a variety of chairs pair well with it. I don’t know what they rest of your home is styled like but I’m getting a Scandinavian vibe with the table and there are lots of wood, woven and fabric options that still reflect modern.

Your original chairs look comfortable but I agree, too much grey. Can you find a similar style in a color you like? Sorry, but those wooden chairs above make my backside ache just looking at them.

but fabric will not be practical for the kitchen with kids. All these Nutella and wings hands :) need something that I can wipe easily.

Just remember that microfiber is durable and easy to wipe. You could probably also scotch guard them to add a layer of protection. The gray chair gives me car seat vibes. The chair isn't terrible, and if you truly have your heart set on that material then I'd say go for it. I just think your kitchen is so beautiful and has so much room to add color and texture that some statement chairs would knock it out the park.

I like the gray chairs. They look very kid friendly and comfortable. Don’t think I would introduce a wood chair in the room.
