Buying bigger house but has smaller pool than previous house. It is a gunite pool and deep end is about 5 1/2 feet. I'm used to at east 8 feet in deep end. I understand pool will have to be lengthened to accommodate longer slope to deeper deep end and deep end center plumbing will need to be moved, new rebar, plaster, coping, etc.. There is no built-in hot tub, that sits separately on patio.

Looks like back yard can accommodate more pool length .

Can I have some comments. suggestions, or thoughts.

Will price to do this be any less than building a whole new pool? Please don't ask why I want it. That's not what I seek here. I am on an exploration to see what the pros or those who have done it already say.
