Kitchen Layout Advice

Hello! I'm debating between a couple of kitchen layouts and am curious what people think. The wall on the right has the fridge and pantry. Please ignore the colors - concepts are just for layout!

Option 1 - Sink under window

Pros: Sink under window; Cons: Corner cabinets

Option 2 - Sink on Peninsula

Pros: Wash dishes while talking to people on bar stools; Cons: Peninsula eats into dining space a bit more

Option 1.

Option 2 looks odd IMO to have that empty space under the window. Corner cabinets have really come a long way, providing some great storage options.

Definitely option 1 - don’t cut into your dining space. Also, unless you’re washing dishes 24 hours a day your argument about wanting to be able to face your guests while washing dishes is pretty silly :))

Option one. The cabinet next to the DW in the corner could open facing the dining area.

Option 1 is pretty much my own kitchen layout. It works well. I don’t think I’d be happy having a sink in my peninsula.

Option 1 for sure. It's a classic U shaped kitchen, can't go wrong with it.

@sara - 9/10 times the people on the bar stools would by my 2 kids. More time to connect doing everyday tasks. I realize now definitely not an "entertaining" oriented mindset.

@barnes I'm familiar with the lazy suzans but just yesterday saw an awesome video of a corner cabinet concept that was way better than anything I had imagined. Love the innovation!
