Kitchen table shape dilemma

last modified: 8 years ago

We currently have a 78" rectangle table in our kitchen nook. We want to replace it and are wondering if a 60" round table would work in this space instead? If so, how many chairs would you do? Would also love feedback on type of table & chairs we should do. We don't like the dark colored table and chairs we currently have. We're considering a gray weathered wood table with gray parisian bistro chairs.

What is the Width of the table? What is the size of the nook? 60 round is large.

I would only do as many chairs as you need to seat people on a daily basis in even numbers unless it is just the two of you and then I would do 4. And yes, 60 inch round is large.

If you wonder how it would fit, get a plastic drop sheet and cut it to 60 inch round size and lay it in the space. Then you can put your existing chairs around it and see if it works.
