Most any color you like. You have a neutral palette right now so you could use reds and yellows in there. However, from what I can tell, the chairs don't seem to go with your sectional. They seem more formal than the sofa. The mantle also seems to be oversized in comparison to the fireplace opening. Artwork is a slow process sometimes, so just keep your eyes out for what you like and enjoy. You may also add some floor to ceiling shelves for a little variety.

The mantel unfortunately was there when we bought the house.

The chairs I agree, but I liked them so much but they will be moved. Any ideas on what else for seating over there or ottoman/end tables?

Bright pillows will be an easy add. Here are some photos to help inspire you:

Move the sectional out of the corner and center it on the fireplace. Have either the loveseat of the two chairs perpendicular to the fireplace and facing the short leg of the sectional.

Can you cancel the loveseat? Float the the sectional centered on the fireplace/TV. Add a "C" table for the person stuck in the corner of the sectional to have a place for their drink. Either do what grover has shown on that end wall and flank it with the two chairs, or put a taller piece of casegoods there such as a bookcase/display. Since this is the TV room, you could opt for a family game table and chairs to fill in the outer spaces.

I canceled the love seat and put the 2 club chairs in my computer room...

I would float the sectional but it is electrical, so has cords coming out, plugs in to recline and for charging phones.

So I put it in the back corner, should I get four high accent chairs and face them towards each other in the left side of the room? Opposite the leather?

Like two chairs facing the hallways, 2 facing the right window on the pic?

If you have the ability to add a floor outlet under the sectional it will greatly improve your room. Grover nailed the layout and art placement.

I would find a way to float that sectional. Use a power strip under the sofa, or an extension cord it you have to and plug it in on the far side of the room.

Having chairs facing the hallways makes no sense. Chairs go here with a table in between.

Chairs facing the windows or the hallways would be silly.

Could I push the two chairs further back and get them their own little table? The family room is huge, and I was trying to create a bunch of seating and fill up the space

Also, no way to add more seating right? Just the 2 accent chairs?

I personally would cancel the large brown couch and find something in a lighter color. It might be difficult to decorate a room around it.

Kat, I think you can work around the couch. It does look very comfy.

Adding some color into your area will really help, perhaps blue or yellow? Maybe even both? We also think it would be really nice to see some chairs facing the sectional. Maybe some artwork over the sectional too?

Those all look good. I'd still like to see that sectional pulled out and a sofa table on the wall behind. Either that or big art on both walls. Don't load up your end tables with so much crap that there's no room to set a drink.

Wow, I love it!! The only problem with a table that worries me, is that end piece reclines.. if it matches to scoot it over, then I have no problem doing it!

Man! Everything is short I feel like. I like the table just bc my kids always sit on the ends, so they might not kick stuff off. How do I raise the lamp? It’s a floor lamp. I like it but needs a pedestal underneath?

None of that furniture works with the sofa. That's my opinion, anyway. It's too airy and light in color.

You might as well stay with the comfort theme and go for a couple of nest chairs.

That white end table doesn't work with the sofa at all. It's way too small. The top should be just below the arm, and you need more bulk to hold its own with the massive sectional.

Either? Still super cold?

Something a bit more industrial might hold its own better. You'll have to measure the height of the arms and only look at tables that are within an inch or two lower.

The white table isn't bad, but it's a little too traditional, IMO. The brown one is just way too busy.
