Master Bath Reno

Let us know what you think. Almost complete on our Master Bath Reno. Second guessing the wall color. May go with something lighter. Right now it's SW Aloe. May go with Sea Salt..

Second picture is with Ultra bright white recessed lights in. I thought the white light would lighten the wall color. First picture is with one of those contruction lights pointed towards the walls.

ohhhhh yeah, i like strong color but anything in the 'seafoam' category has to be really light or really dark. i'd try something else for sure.

Yes, you should change the wall color.

Agreed. Sea salt would look beautiful with the marble.

Yes, the paint color is a little aggressive. A softer green-blue would work better.

Also, the mirrors are beautiful but they're too big. They shouldn't be going past the vanity like that. They're dwarfing it. It would look far more proportional to swap them out for smaller ones.

Perfect coastal theme. The paint scheme is bold and I love it!

I applaud you for wanting to do something different on the walls than what would be expected such as grey or white but in this case I'd listen to your gut...

Since you are questioning it, you know it isn't the right shade for you.

Very pretty reno! Also agree to try a lighter Seafoam, maybe a little more blue and less green in it.

I think it looks nice. Do you really want to repaint the whole room at this point?

Install the sconces, accessories (art, towels and liquid hand soap with a green/blue color to tie in the walls) and it will look great.

I think a softer color would complement your choices better.

Yes, softer color and smaller mirrors. Do you really need the recessed mirrored cabinet? It would look better without it. You're making great progress, just little fixes!

Go out and find towels in the color you'd like the walls to be. Then get paint mixed to match the towels.

Mirrors are a little top heavy. Too matchy with the counters. Sconces instead of over-the-mirror lights.

If you are second-guessing, go with your gut. Better to have what you want now than repaint in a year when you realize you are not happy with it. I like the color, but I agree with you that it is a fairly concentrated shade and might look better a couple tints lighter.

A lighter version of the same color would be better. What color is your bedroom/bedding?

As others have suggested, you can't go wrong with Sea Salt by SW. Far right sample.

    Done. Sea salt looks great.

bravo! good for you getting this accomplished, its so easy to settle for something less than great.

The tile around the tub would look more finished if you added pencil tile all the way around the unfinished top edges.

The new color is great!, as the original one was so " in your face". I would have a lovely towel bar on the side, instead of the hook kind, as you have the space for it.

Out of everything, I'm not a fan of the mirrors. They take over the whole look, while at the same time kind of looking somewhat the same as the rest of the tile. A bit smaller ones, or one large one, the width of the vanity, is what I would prefer.

New color is soooo awesome! Looks a million times better.

I agree smaller mirrors and sconces. The side lighting is so much better, no harsh shadows. I have had both and the overhead lighting is not flattering.

I always offer unsolicited advice because most posters know there's something that's not right but they can't figure out exactly what it is. They often focus on the wrong things.

They can take the advice or not.

Decorating your own home is hard and people aren't able to really see what they look at every day.
