I don't think the poppy prints are helping. I would bring the clock from the over the door in the other room and put it on the wall to the left of the opening between the rooms. But for real impact I'd do one of two things - paint the
large blank wall red or this... Have fun!!!

I love zebra, but I think you may have too much of a good thing going. I'd consider letting the chairs be your pop of zebra and relocating the lamps and the kitchen rug to somewhere else in your home. It looks like the poppy artwork could be moved down a bit on the wall.
It looks a little crowded with all the chairs and the corner pieces - would you consider using the zebra chairs as your head chairs and moving two of the other chairs into the corners (or using elsewhere)?

Another vote with Sam - lose the little lamps and move the poppies down (they're hung way too high anyway); definitely use the zebra chairs as head chairs; and, at least to start - move painting on the easel out and also the little table on the left with the red vase (both nice but they don't seem to do anything for the room - rather looks a bit as if they were put in because you didn't have any other place for them). I like the red vase to echo the poppies but the table stuck in the corner looks awkward - maybe need to move it out or angle it or a round table. Still, I'd take both out for the moment, work on the other suggested changes and then see what else you need to bring back. Lovely room - just seems to need a bit of tweaking.

Hello! I would recommend a grouping of some vases on the dining table and island, incorporating different sizes, colors, and finishes (maybe some clear and others opaque). Odd numbers work best here, so try to do 3 pieces to start with then move to 5 if it still seems too sparse. I also agree with everyone on the lamps - I would remove them and replace them with something a bit more elegant, maybe a bronze finish perhaps? On the wall, a nice large mirror will make a great impact and will bounce the light around the room making it appear larger. Try all some of this and see where it takes you. Good luck!
