My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Please let me know what the countertop material is and how durable.

I live in the charming brick English Cottage, built in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC in 1930. It is our dream house but has a tiny kitchen. i do not want the cookie cutter kitchen found in so many homes because i wish to keep the absolutely rare and unique design of this house throughout.

    Thank you for your question "gingergram". I applaud your decision to avoid a "cookie cutter" design. That's the easy route-take your time and be creative! The countertop in this project is "Costa Esmerelda" granite. Granite is very durable but as with any surface, a certain degree of caution should be exercised. Good luck with your project!
