Freestanding Bathtub Filler Recommendations?

I’m looking at and really love the Delta Cassidy tub filler as I’m using the same sink faucets, but the reviews for the tub filler are pretty bad: it seems to leak.

Any recommendations of freestanding (chrome) tub fillers?

Where did you read these bad reviews? On the Delta website, maybe partial there, but they got 4 out of 5 stars. On Amazon, it got good reviews except one person said to beware of big box stores. @pamal67: Both Home Depot and Lowe’s have bad reviews. There’s only a few reviews on each, but they’re negative.

Pamal66: I’m curious: what’s the difference if I go to a plumbing supply store versus if I buy it from Home Depot/Lowe’s? Isn’t it the same product?

Hi Sue! We did end up with the Delta Cassidy and have had no issues with it! It’s been 2 years now I believe that we’ve had it. Do make sure the shower head hangs over the tub! After using it, the hawker head drops a few drops which is totally normal, I’m sure, but FYI. Ours hangs over the bath tub and works out well.

Rather, we tilt the shower head for the tub filler so that it drips into the tub...instead of tilting it straight up as the above photo shows.
