Doort mats, Roomba, a short dog with a long coat, or cat that likes tape on its paws? :-) This is a common question we get with darker floors. Honestly it does take a little more attention to maintain.

This floor is birch with 3.5" wide planks. There is quite a bit of maintenance involved. Like Eutree suggested, door mats and area rugs will help but it will require more maintenance. If you choose a dark floor, pick one that has variations in the grain and color as it tends to hide debris more efficiently than solid colors.
