Sophie is correct. We have an 8x4 island being installed and we needed a JUMBO slab for it (we used quartz). Either find a good full service GC that knows his stuff or a designer or both. We interviewed 3 GC’s and saw many examples of his work before deciding.

thank you both for your comments, i did have a kitchen designer help me with colors but she recommended a grey instead of white perimeter. I preferred the white and haven't finalized anything and still have a little bit of time before i have to make some final decisions. I hired a fabricator as well and they did not mention about the size of the slab. I will have to check back with them.

is there any way to edit the title from kitchen remodel to something more specific?

We just put in blue pearl countertops and I think it is a beautiful stone. However, we saw two different lots of blue pearl and they were completely different.

We used marble (we did 2x4) for the backsplash...they really go together nicely.
