If it burned the grass then you didn't apply it correctly in some way. Burnt grass here and there sounds like uneven distribution of product, with some places getting too much. Otherwise, was the soil moist? It being June my lawn has been starting to dry up for some weeks.

I set the spreader according to the pkg.

Even distribution is also dependent on operator finesse - drop spreaders for instance can dump more during turns if care is not taken to avoid this.

I have used their products in my lawn business on 600 +yards and love the results. Not one problem if used correctly .

Combo weed 'n feed products are also a highly inefficient way to address weeds. They are just a convenience to the user with few redeeming benefits.

If used correctly, forever green is better than Scott's in my opinion
