Hi,

long time reader, 1st time poster! Hoping someone can help. We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel and need to select our countertops. I found a Super White 1st choice quartzite slab that I love. We wanted to use that for the island. We wanted to do the perimeter in a "concrete" type look. We were thinking quartz, maybe a Caesarstone "concrete" or what is pictured "Carbon." We also found Donatello, which is a granite....that we really like. I'm worried that the Donatello will compete with the Super White Island. I'm thinking honed for perimeter and polished for Island. Any opinions out there? Would appreciate any resonses!! FYI cabinets are white (Ben Moore Super White) and backsplash will be some type of subway tile.....

This is what we are thinking for the island.

Perimeter would be something like the darker, larger sample here....

OR:

Donatello..... Just not sure if the Donatello will compete with the Super White...

Thanks for any help!
